Outside the 9-to-5

  • If you’ve never been, Arizona has some of the most stunning hikes.

  • Exploring Mont Saint-Michel with my husband—where a kind local bar owner offered to watch our bags so we could wander the winding streets of this tidal island freely. It's these small acts of kindness from strangers that make travel even more magical.

  • Swimming with sharks on our honeymoon. My toes in the corner prove it happened—and that was plenty close for me.

  • We may only be in the social pickleball league, but our effort is championship level.

  • Worth. Every. Blister. The start of the descent into Havasupai.

  • Hiking 12 miles into Havasupai with 40 lbs on our backs? Manageable. The descent into Havasu Falls? Another story.

  • Grateful I got the chance to feed, bathe and hike with elephants at this beautiful sanctuary in Chiang Mai.

  • Our two favorites: Dante and Kona.

  • You’ll often find me “monkeying” around… too on the nose?

  • Evidence that I can be resourceful: While traveling abroad, I once turned a tiny one-bedroom Airbnb bathroom into my makeshift office at 3 AM so my friend could sleep undisturbed.
